I am a Research Assistant interested in developing my scientific knowledge and laboratory skills in using novel and advanced diagnostic tools for the early diagnosis of infectious diseases. I have extensive experience in molecular biology and immunology techniques in HIV/TB research studies. My current research projects are on investigating the aetiology of respiratory illness and how improved diagnostics can reduce the burden of antimicrobial resistance. I have a BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology from University of Malawi, College of Medicine (currently KUHeS) and I am currently pursuing a Master of Health Science (Antimicrobial Stewardship) at the same university.
