Umoyo Nkukambirana, a radio programme aimed at engaging the general public on health and health research, has received positive feedback from the general public.
According to MLW’s Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Regina Makwinja, so far most people that are aware of the radio programme have spoken positively about it, describing it as the best tool used in the dissemination of health issues, especially where a national radio broadcaster is used considering its high listenership.
Monitoring and evaluation for the programme is being done alongside the programme to explore the impact of the radio programme across the three regions of Malawi. The evaluation has been designed to capture both qualitative and quantitative data using mixed methods such as Focus Group Discussions, Survey, telephone calls and Personal stories.
