MLW Got Talent show demonstrated that MLW has a wide range of gifted staff members. The event which took place on 16 December 2022 at MLW drew an enthusiastic crowd of more than 300 staff and 20 performers.
Dancing performances were judged by a panel of three judges – Grace Mkamanga, Thandiwe Gondwe and Steven Lanken. In the dancing competition, first place went to Amr Saidi, second place went to Asante Khanje whilst Catherine Kalimbuka and Tiyamike Agness Nthandira were placed third.
Other performances included: martial arts, singing, poetry, and instrument playing.
Speaking before opening the dance floor, MLW’s Head of Operations Tamara Chipasula hailed the organising committee for the exciting show. In her speech, Chipasula noted that sometimes life is not just about work but the good times when people come together to laugh and celebrate.
“It is through moments like these that we get to know each other and create precious memories. With suicide cases on the rise, such kinds of wellness programmes could go a long way to cheer the depressed and bridge the gaps that we may have in our social lives,” Chipasula said.
One of the patronisers of the Talent Show Linda Gondwe said: “Who knew that MLW had such talent?” She lauded the talent show’s organising team for creating the hype.
