Professor Robert Heyderman, a man who has been on the steering wheel of Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust (MLW) for eight years as the Programme Director has left MLW.

Rob Heyderman, a Professor in infectious diseases, received his medical training in London and Zimbabwe. After doing PhD in London, he went to Zimbabwe where for two years practiced medicine and continued his research. He went back to complete training in UK before becoming a senior lecturer and later professor in Bristol.
