Maureen Tayamika Ndalama is a Pharmacist in the Clinical Research Support Unit (CRSU) and is attached to the Virology Research Group.
Maureen was awarded a scholarship to study for a Masters in Clinical Trials by the Centre for Innovative Drug Development and Therapeutic Trials (CDT-Africa). CDT Africa is a World Bank-supported center of excellence for higher education and research at the College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University. Maureen is grateful for the support rendered by MLW in pursuing this Masters. A special Thanks to Dr. Titus Divala who supervised Maureen’s research project titled “Efficacy, effectiveness, safety and adherence of short versus long duration macrolide treatment for respiratory infections: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials”
Apart from being a Pharmacist, Maureen is also study coordinator for “Enteric for Global Health (EFGH): Shigella surveillance in Blantyre, Malawi ”, “Diarrhea Surveillance study (DIASURV)” and “Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on morbidity and mortality due to enteric and respiratory infections in children < 5 years of age in LMICs(ICOPAM)”
