The Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme (MLW) is saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday 8<sup>th</sup> September 2022. We express our deep condolences to the Royal Family, the people of the United Kingdom and all our partners and colleagues in the United Kingdom and Malawi at this extremely sad time.
Her Majesty The Queen leaves a legacy in the work that we do as a health research institution. MLW is a close research partner of Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, the largest public health facility in Malawi, which was named after Her Majesty The Queen in 1958.
Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and people of the United Kingdom at this difficult time.
